Run, Rah Rah, Run!

I’ve been running (read: jogging) everyday since Friday morning. I’ve actually amazed myself at my sudden motivation. Although, yesterday’s and today’s run were a little half-assed. I had to force myself to really pump out those miles. I completed 4.5 miles yesterday morning and another 5 this morning. At another point I would have thought this was great, but lately I’ve been in such a competitive mood and have really wanted to be able to jog all those miles continuously.  Mind you, I am jogging at an extremely slow pace, but I feel it’s a great start. I’m sure eventually I’ll start focusing more on my pace but for now I’ll just work on building up my endurance.

I was up 2 lbs this morning from last week. Gah! This really bummed me out, especially since I’ve been so committed to working out lately.  Although, I do plan on taking a break from jogging tomorrow morning. I still haven’t decided if I should go to the gym and work on the elliptical or just sleep in. Right now my body is calling, no, shrieking for sleep. I need a nap so bad, and I’m hungry. Ugh. I can smell my co-worker’s lunch right now. Man, that smells good. I’m determined to have my healthy sandwich though, on whole grain bread. And maybe an avocado… I am SO looking forward to that piece of avocado. Mmm….
