Gym day
I dragged myself out of bed this morning. I wasn’t in the mood to workout at all. I’m hoping that over time waking up early to exercise will be second nature. People do it all the time and I used to wake up at 5:00 a.m. everyday in high school. Then again, that was many moons ago. But anyway, I woke up and got into the loosest fitting clothing I could find because I was suffering from major bloat and off to the gym I went. My routine consisted of ten minutes on the Cross Ramp, a few leg exercises and 25 more minutes on the cardio machine. I then was on my way home to get ready for work. I think I wore my legs out from all the jogging last week. They needed a break.
I haven’t decided if I’m going for a jog tomorrow morning or not. I’m now involved in five Nike+ challenges online and am so determined not to fall behind everyone else that I think I’m overdoing it. I didn’t realize when I purchased the Nike+ that it’d be this motivating for me. I’ve only had it for three and a half weeks and I’ve already completed 62 miles. Wow, I really impressed myself. hah! Sure, some advanced runner will see my 62 miles and think, “I can do that in a week!” Bah. I’m not aiming to run 2-4 hours a day. That’s just nuts. For me, at least. And did I mention I’m slow? I was so proud of my pace only to realize some people can run a mile in 5 MINUTES!!
Anyway, I just remind myself that I’m working on my endurance. Forget the speed! I’ll build up to it. I need to concentrate on my eating habits more than anything else right now. I didn’t have my healthy sandwich for yesterday’s lunch and opted for Taco Bell instead. Ugh. I regretted that later. But obviously not so much since my honey and I had Wendy’s for dinner. Eek! I’m feeling it today though. I seriously need to get back to counting points or at least calories. Hopefully I will have my healthy sandwich today. Hopefully.
